yarnalicious day

My husband took me to lunch, I told him I was going to the yarn store and he didn't say no (not that I would've listened and I didn't say I was buying anything, although . . . I did!) And I come home to a package from the legendary zombie slayer herself, with my tee shirt and membership card! The day looks up. Here is some documentation.Tee shirt,

sock yarn with which to make the mini-argyle beret (because the stash yarn just wasn't working, ok?)
And some pretty homespun with which to make the second part of the previously mentioned super secret project! The brown yarn. The red? Oh, it was free! The yarn shop was having a sale, buy 4 skeins, get one free! When you walk into a yarn shop on the spur of the moment, and they are having a SALE, it's destiny telling you you must buy yarn. (At least that's what I plan to tell Joe next time he checks the checkbook!)
