My mom passed away last night. We are headed downstate for the funeral. I'm so glad she came up here this summer and so glad I got to see her at Christmas.

- I regret not going to England while I was in Europe because I don't see myself getting on a transcontinental flight anytime soon
- I spent six months in Europe when I was 20
- I've only flown four times
- I'm terrified of flying
- I dye my hair, but not frequently enough to cover the grey roots
- I have brown eyes, and salt and pepper hair, that used to be brown
- I don't wear a watch
- I don't have pierced ears (e.t.a. I have pierced ears now!)
- I'm left handed
- I live in a place where winter in the about six months long (e.t.a. not anymore!)
- I think winter is pretty but my tolerance for cold decreases as my age increases
- I read probably to escape but also to learn

- I don't have my bachelor's degree even though I went to school for four years(e.t.a. I totally have my bachelor's degree, in French from Kalamazoo College!)
- I majored in French at Kalamazoo College
- My husband wanted to name my son Cooper, I wanted Dylan, we settled on Joseph
- We have three kids, a son and two daughters
- We've been married for 19 years this August (e.ta. 23 years this August!)
- I'm married to my junior high sweetheart
